The Clute-Phillips Post 938 American Legion will be holding its Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Village Commons located on the corner of Park Avenue and Main Street at 11 a.m. The Boy Scouts will follow with their flag retirement ceremony. There will also be soup and sandwiches served by the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary at the Middleport Fire Hall immediately following the ceremony. The Boys and Girls State representatives will be in attendance to discuss their experiences with each program as well.
The overnight parking ban will be enforced from Sunday, November 5, 2023, through Sunday, April 7, 2024. There is no parking on Village streets from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. to allow for snow removal.
At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, October 16, 2023, the Village Board of Trustees voted in favor of holding a special election on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Village Hall from 12 pm (noon) to 9 pm. Village of Middleport registered voters will be voting on the referendum for the establishment of LOSAP (Length of Service Award Program) for the Middleport Volunteer Fire Department. On the direction of Mayor Dodge, a special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees has been called for 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. The meeting is for the purposes of a NYS Liquor Authority request for a Sunday On-Premises Sales Permit. There will be no other business discussed.
The Halloween trick-or-treating hours for the Village of Middleport will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
Niagara County and Sunnking are hosting an electronics waste recycling event on Saturday, September 16th, at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA located at 1900 Military Rd.
