Annual Events
Mr. Ed’s Fun Run: Sponsored by Middleport Fire Co. No. 1, Inc. Held Super Bowl Sunday. Proceeds fund scholarships for Roy Hart Seniors or Graduates who attend college for a degree in a medical field.
Fish and Chicken Finger Dinners: Sponsored by the Towpath Lodge, 20 Main Street – during Lent.
Maple Weekend pancake breakfast: Sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 23 at Middleport Fire Hall. Held on a Sunday in March. Watch for signs.
Arbor Day Celebration: Last Friday in April at 2:30 p.m. – Location changes annually. Watch for information.
National Day of Prayer Service: Held at the Commons, corner of Main Street & Park Ave. at noon, first Thursday in May. Lunch sponsored by the Clute Phillips Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary immediately following the service. Free will donation.
Village-Wide Garage Sale: First Saturday in May. No need to sign up! Just have a garage sale!
Poppy Drive: During May. Look for Clute Phillips American Legion Auxiliary Unit 938 members throughout the Village. Please support our veterans.
Memorial Day Parade, Services & Celebration: Memorial Day, includes the Middleport Beautification Committee duck derby race in the canal following the services held by Clute Phillips American Legion Post 938 and the Middleport Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, Inc. Contact Kathy Kindle (716) 735-6807 to participate in the parade.
Classic Car Cruise: Sponsored by the Middleport Volunteer Fire Co. No 1, Inc. – Sunday following Labor Day. Includes a used book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Royalton Hartland Community Library and a basket raffle sponsored by the Middleport Beautification Committee.
Veterans’ Day Service & Boy Scout Flag Retiring Service: 2023 ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 11th, at the Veteran’s monument on Park Avenue at 11 am.
Annual Michelle’s Memorial 5K: 2023 is the 12th Annual 5K. This year’s 5K can be done In-Person or Virtual. The Virtual 5K has to be completed between Monday, November 13th, thru Thursday, November 23rd. The In-Person 5K is on Saturday, November 18th. You can register online at runsignup.com or on Saturday, November 18, 2023, you can register at the Middleport Fire Hall. Registration starts at 8 am with the race starting 9 am. Proceeds benefit the Michelle A. Bewley Scholar Athlete Award given to a graduating senior at Royalton Hartland High School.
Annual Thanksgiving Service: 2:00 PM Sunday before Thanksgiving. Sponsored by the Middleport Area Churches & Clergy Association. Location changes each year.
Village Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: Look for posters. Early December.
