Brian Belson, the Village’s Code Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector, will not be in the office on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. He will be at training next week, and he apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Modern has assured us that everyone’s recycling carts that were scheduled for pickup on Wednesday, January 22nd, will be collected by the end of the day today, Thursday, January 23rd, so please leave your cart at the curb. Unfortunately, they did not let the Village Clerk’s office know there was an issue with collection yesterday.
If you are interested in running for a position on the Village Board, there are petitions available at the Village Clerk’s office. The election this year is for the mayor’s seat and two trustee’s seats. They are all two-year positions.
Bulk garbage pickup for February will be on Wednesday, February 12th. As a reminder, Modern will only pick up three items outside of your cart.
The Village Board of Trustees will be holding a Special Board Meeting on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Village Hall located at 24 Main Street.
The Village Offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Additionally, the Village Clerk’s office will be closed on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Please note that garbage and recycling will be delayed by one day each of those weeks.
