Where to Apply:

Before you begin your project, please contact the Zoning Officer, Brian Belson, at 735-3303 ext 16 to leave a message Monday through Friday  or via email at any time at Code.Enforce@villageofmiddleport.org to discuss your project to determine if you need a building permit.  If you  need a permit, stop at the Village Hall to pick upthe necessary application.  After you complete and sign your application, return it to the Village Hall.  When it has been approved by Mr. Belson, you will be contacted to pick up your permit (if you haven't already received it).

Please note that Mr. Belson is in the office on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evenings by appointment only.

Requirements:

If you need a building permit and live in the Village of Middleport - regardless if you also reside in the Town of Royalton or the Town of Hartland - you get your building permit from the Village Hall.

The cost of your permit is based on your project cost.

In general, your permit is ready only a day or two after you have submitted your application.  Occasionally, it takes longer than this.
