A special meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, in the Village Hall. Mayor Westcott opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. Also present Trustee Blumrick, Trustee Hinkson, Trustee McAvoy, Coordinator Dodge, Police Chief Swick, Clerk-Treasurer Schweigert, and Daniel E. Seaman, attorney. Deputy Mayor Conley was absent. A motion was made by Trustee Blumrick, and seconded by Trustee McAvoy, to move into executive session for the purpose of discussions that may lead to the appointment of an individual. A motion was made by Trustee McAvoy, and seconded by Trustee Hinkson, to return to general session. Carried with all present voting aye. Mayor Westcott reconvened general session at 6:43 p.m. Civil Enforcement Officer Thomas Arlington tendered his resignation effective January 1, 2013, changing the date from January 31, 2013, as indicated in August 2012. His resignation was accepted with regret. A motion was made by Trustee McAvoy, and seconded by Trustee Hinkson, to accept the resignation of Police Officer P/T Sean Campus effective January 3, 2013. Carried with all present voting aye. A motion was made by Trustee Blumrick, and seconded by Trustee McAvoy, to rehire Sean Campus as a Police Officer P/T from the current Niagara County Civil Service list. His appointment will be effective January 4, 2013, and his rate of pay will remain the same. Due to his 3 years of experience, the probationary period is waived. Carried with all present voting aye. There being no further business, a motion was made by Trustee McAvoy, and seconded by Trustee Hinkson, to adjourn. Carried with all present voting aye.
