June 26, 2007

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Village Hall. Deputy Mayor Conley opened the meeting at 4:57 p.m. Also present were Trustees Bateman and Kirkpatrick, Village Coordinator Dodge, Zoning Officer Thomas Arlington, Clerk-Treasurer Schweigert, and Daniel E. Seaman, attorney. Mayor Maedl and Trustee Sarchia were absent. Property owner Donald Heschke was in attendance, as well. A site plan review of the plans to build a 12-foot by 50-foot addition to the building at 3 N. Main Street is required based on Village Code 200-13.5(D) and (E). The following issues were determined: X storm drain issue will be addressed by the Village by installing a pipe with a grate opening and adding a berm X fencing will be installed X sidewalks are already in place X There is enough parking for current employees; may purchase property along the canal for increased parking X Set backs are already close to the street; this won’t change X The building is already in full compliance with other Village laws X The density of improvements are all on site; this will not increase density X The property is already zoned light industrial With the condition of a fence between the site and the unowned property to the north and property to the west, unless the property owner verifies in writing and the fence is unwanted, the Board determined that the plans are acceptable. A motion was made by Trustee Bateman, and seconded by Trustee Kirkpatrick, that, as there are no additional facilities, sewer, or water necessary it would be in the best interest of the Village to approve the addition and maintain the existing zoning. Carried. There being no further business, A motion was made by Trustee Kirkpatrick, and seconded by Trustee Bateman, to adjourn. Carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:07 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Rebecca A. Schweigert Clerk-Treasurer
